Aero Bins
These bins get their name because they allow the excess water in the food we discard to drain out and ensure aeration. Aeration is essential for odour free compost making! They allow liquids to flow into separate compartments at the bottom and store the solids above. It’s the ideal product to store your food scraps within the home or a commercial kitchen until such time as they’re taken out and put into the community compost bin.
When used as a pair they can also be used as a home composter and will take approximately 4 – 6 weeks for compost making, the time period depends on how well shredded the material added was, and if you have added the correct balance of coco-peat/dry material.
Ideally, only shredded material must be put into this bin as it will ensure the bio mass is converted into compost the fastest. Natural whole waste decomposition takes up a lot of time, is smelly and difficult to manage.
Size Options
- 10 Litres - Ideal usage for daily 1/2 Kgs of material
- 20 Litres - Ideal usage for daily 1 Kg of material.
- 60 Litres - Ideal usage for daily 15 Kgs of material (after shredding) without shredding daily 5 to 6 Kgs.
