Our Static Compost Bins serve to compost larger quantities of waste from multiple homes. As the composting process advances, material naturally collapses in volume. Our design prevents this from turning into a soggy mass by allowing for easy inspection and manual aeration to maintain oxygen flow.

Sustainable Urban Design: To stay cost-effective, we use modified wheelie bins that are suitably adapted for composting. This allows them to be easily installed in the narrow spaces typical of city apartment locations.

How the Continuous Cycle Works

We plan the size and number of bins so that a set takes approximately 30 days to fill. A standard composting site consists of two sets:

• Phase 1: Fill the first set of bins over 30 days.
• Phase 2: Move to the second set while the first set matures.
• Phase 3: Empty the first set and restart the cycle.

Size & Family Guide

• 40 Litres: Small single families (max. 2 Kgs/day with 2 bins).
• 60 Litres: Larger families (max. 4 Kgs/day with 2 bins).
• 120 Litres: Small buildings up to 10 families (2 bins).
• 240 Litres: Buildings up to 25 families (2 - 4 bins).
• 360 Litres: Large buildings (35 to 100 families - 4 to 8 bins).

Note: A minimum of 2 bins works for up to 35 families; one additional bin is recommended for every 15 extra families.
